A Great Night in Harlem

Another night, another special event...this time in Harlem. Tonight was the ninth (!) graduation of parolees from the Harlem Reentry Court. I've been to three or four of them and they rank as some of the most inspirational moments that I've had in this job. Tonight was no exception. The thing that struck me was the warmth between the participants and their parole officers. It was palpable how much the parole officers wanted their parolees to succeed -- and how grateful the parolees were for the support. Kudos to Chris, John, Ivan, Kate and the rest of the Harlem team for a great night. I can't wait for the 10th!
